Meetup
  • 9am – Meet and Greet. Stockbridge Transit Center in Steamboat Springs.
  • 9:30am – Drivers Meeting *Required if you are the driver.
  • 10am – Roll out and meet at the USFS gate at the top of Buffalo Pass Road

Day 1

  • Depart Steamboat Springs and climb over Buffalo “Buff” pass via USFS 60.
  • Descend the East side of Buff towards Walden, CO via RT 24
  • Jump on the pavement for a mile or two  then hang a left onto CO RT 11 towards Buffalo Peak and Slack Weiss Reservoir.
  • Break for lunch and some fishing before heading towards Chimney Rock and ultimately descending Gunsight Pass into Kremling, CO.
  • Refuel/Ice Cream/Coffee stop and roll out on blacktop northwest CO State Highway 134 (aka Gore Pass)
  • Right on USFS 100 to Red Dirt Reservoir to pitch camp and (hopefully) catch some cuties.

Day 2

  • Take USFS 250 to USFS 270 and head down Lynx Pass towards Stagecoach Reservoir and the coveted tailwaters.
  • Loop around stagecoach Dam towards Sarvis Creek confluence
  • Take CR 16 out past Catamount, jump on CO RT 131 and meet up back at Backdoor Burger.

Please make sure to fuel up and grab essentials before meeting at the Transit Center

Nope! This is a free event by and for enthusiasts.
 

There are countless events geared towards those vehicles; while we are all Toyota fans at heart, this event is specifically for the LandCruiser genealogy.

The leader and tail gunner will have comms but we need a comms gal/guy! If you are a HAM wizard, please shoot us an email at drive@classicexpeditionvehicles.com

Unlikely, but there are sections of the trail that are overgrown and narrow so expect to be brushing up against the willows.
